The NSW Government is currently deciding the future of our forests.
This is our once-in-a-generation chance to end native forest logging.
The case for change is undeniable:
- Ending this industry would save 3.6 million tonnes of CO2 every year and protect the 50+ threatened species that call these forests home.
- Native forest logging has cost taxpayers over $90 million since 2020, while plantations remain profitable.
- 91% of NSW timber already comes from plantations. We don't need to log native forests to build our homes.
Please take five minutes to write to your local MP.
Writing to your state representative in your own voice is one of the most powerful actions you can take. When MPs hear directly from their constituents, it shapes the decisions they make. To be most effective, simply tell them:
- That you're a local constituent, including who you are and where you live.
- Why protecting our forests matters to you.
- That this issue will influence your vote and preferences.
